Western Great Lakes Hummingbird Project

This form is for the reporting of rare/vagrant hummingbirds such as Rufous, Anna’s, Mexican Violetear (formerly known as Green Violetear) or species even rarer to Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for the purposes of documenting the occurrence of such species. The Western Great Lakes Hummingbird Project is interested in banding any rare hummingbirds occurring in the study area for the purposes of properly identifying the species in question and furthering our understanding of migration, biology, molt and site fidelity of rare hummingbird species. We can also assist with identifying your hummingbird and documenting its occurrence in the event you do not wish to have your hummingbird banded.
